Sr. High Ministries

Sr. High Fusion

During the school year, Wednesday night is our weekly meeting time for Senior High Students. In addition to having fun and seeing friends, this time is intended to strengthen each student's relationship with Christ through interactive Bible study, discussion and thought provoking questions. Meets from 7:30-9:30 PM in the Fireside Room.

Worship

The worship team is open to those in grades 9-12. Students who have a desire to serve God through music are given many different opportunities to use these gifts for God’s glory. The team meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM.

Drama

The youth drama team meets weekly to prepare short sketches to be used at youth group as an introduction to or illustration of the message that evening. We have also performed the same type of dramas as part of the Sunday morning services occasionally. The group prays for each other and generally supports one another with their shared challenges as young believers. We do improvisation and play other theatre games as well. Generally we attend one competition in April. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment for sharing our common gift. Our theme verse is John 15:12-13

"This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Tech

Tech team is a ministry team that meets weekly to work on church oriented projects (such as the website you are looking at). No special skills are required, you just need a positive IQ (negative IQ”s accepted after completion of written test). Anyone (male or female) is welcome from the grade 7-12. All you need is some free time and a willingness to work The Tech team serves God with visual productions or through the performances of others. How does this work? Here is a diagram:
People worship God with the worship team, and the worship team has to worship through the Tech team Tech + Worship + God = Tech + God [transitive property of equality] [QED]*

*note: knowledge of math is also not required

SALT

Student Action Leadership Team (SALT) is a group of students that have demonstrated the qualities of Christ, want to grow closer to Him, and have a desire to see their friends do the same. The SALT Team meets twice a month for a time of leadership, peer care and peer evangelism training. Also during the meetings, the students provide feedback to the youth leaders about events and activities from a teens point of view. Members of the SALT team are selected by the Youth Leaders in September of each year and must go through an application process.

Good Sheperd Mission

The Good Sheperd Mission ministers to the homeless, helpless, and hopeless in Northern New Jersey by meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through a structured program which enables them to lead responsible, productive lives. We have the privilege of leading Good Sheperd’s evening chapel program periodically... this is a very practical way to give and receive encouragement. All Junior and Senior High students welcome! Bring $ for Starbucks

Sunday School

The Fusion Senior High Sunday School has taken up the sweet task of setting our hearts and minds on the life and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. We do this for the purpose of being Fused with Christ, and to motivate ourselves to ignite a passion for him in the people around us. We meet at 9:15am on Sunday mornings.

Swim and Study

From June to August, we meet at a different house each Wednesday to swim and hear the Word! Come and join us for this great time of fellowship. Dates, times, and directions will be provided. This is for both Jr and Sr High.

Special Events

Winter Retreat: Every January we take advantage of the long weekend, Martin Luther King Day, and go up to Camp of the Woods, in Speculator, NY. We have a great time together skiing at Gore Mt., hearing God’s word from a special speaker, and worshiping together. There are also many other special events and surprises during the weekend.

Man School: Ecclesiastes 11:9 says: "Young man, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do." These outdoor excursions take place about twice per year in a camping environment. It is a time for young men to be discipled by older men in our church body; providing them with the tools they will need as they grow as men in Christ.

Fall Retreat: Early in the fall, after we are all back in the groove of the school year, we like to get together to focus on Christ and what He has in store for us in the new school year. During the retreat we like to take some time from having fun and do some community service to show the love of Christ to the people around us.

Summer Trip: Each Summer we pack up and hit the road for week long trip. Backpacking in the Canadian wilderness, working at a children's camp, attending great youth conferences like SEMP, and going on an overseas mission trip are some of the places we have gone.

Turkey Tackle: This takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving for both Junior and Senior High students. Football and pizza!!!

Senior Sneak: Last trip with our graduating seniors....where are we going...? You’ll have to wait ‘til we get there!

Paintball: Skirmish, Pa, is where we head off to for Young Gunz...pay your age! This is usually in May or June on a Saturday. You do not need your own paintball gun, they provide everything you need!

Random Stuff: Through out the year we take trips to Dorney Park, Great Adventure, Mountain Creek, New York City and who knows where. Check out the youth calendar to see where we are going next.
